Puppy pile

Puppies are rarely still for long enough to get a photo that is not blurry.  I just had to share with you the cute wee faces, and the puppy yawn.

Eyes Open

Petra is continuing to do an excellent job raising the puppies.  They are piling on the weight.  Their eyes opened in the last couple of days and they are now two weeks old.  Their eyes are very blue but will change to the yellow colour as they grow up.  The pups are now wobbling around on their wee legs instead of crawling.

Feeding frenzy 10 days old

Petra is an excellent Mama.  She is very patient.  You can see the blurr as eager pups rush for another feed.

They switch and swap quite quickly.
And then pile up and sleep off their large dinner.

Thriving pregnancy

Hunting is still a favourite adventure despite being pregnant.  She was so eager once she realised a hunt was about to happen that she wouldn't leave the vehicle that was being packed for the trip.

You can definitely tell she's pregnant now although she doesn't seem to act any differently than normal. She's looking ready to feed some puppies which should arrive in a week or so.

Vizsla's are such a delightful companion whether hunting or playing with one of the family members.  She's gentle and keen to be with someone no matter what the activity might be.
